Bacon wrapped meatballs ingredients:
- 2 packages of Johnsonville Homestyle Frozen Meatballs
- 2 packages of bacon
- a good rub, I used Rufus Teague Spicy Meat
- a good sauce, I used Rufus Teague Apple Mash
Directions
- Thaw meatballs overnight in the fridge
- Cut each package of bacon in half.
- Wrap each meatball with a half strip of bacon, insert a toothpick to hold the bacon in place and for a holder to serve with later.
- Season with your rub of choice.
- smoke at 275 degrees for about 90 minutes, or grill at higher heat for 30-60 minutes (the meatballs are fully cooked already, just need to get the bacon crispy / to your liking). Regardless of temperature choice, these need to be cooked with indirect heat.
- Glaze meatballs with your sauce of choice.
- Cook an additional 20-30 min until you have good color.
